Position Mission Manages the DC Stockroom personnel and their activities related to incoming freight, stocking, pulling, packing, and shipping freight. Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of team members and maintaining a positive safety culture throughout the Distribution Center. Additionally, the Stockroom Manager ensures the overall productivity of the warehouse and is committed to achieving sales, profit, and turnover quota. Position Performance Measures Profit Quota Payroll Percent to Sales Sales Quota Service Level Turnover Dollar Volume per Employee Shipping Percentage Responsibilities Manage daily operations and service levels of the DC Stockroom, implementing standards for production, productivity, quality, and customer service. Resolve problems and identify system improvements. Maintain product locator system for optimal space utilization. Ensure inventory counts are performed accurately by team members. Maintain warehouse security and safety of all employees. Supervise 3PL contract drivers and ensure quality service. Communicate regularly with Operations Manager on business issues, plans, and activities. Focus on improving customer service methods and meeting productivity targets. Support sales growth through excellent customer service and efficiency. Implement service improvement initiatives. Balance productivity with payroll to maintain profitable salary percentages. Develop employees and promote teamwork. Coach, lead, and train employees to enhance productivity. Communicate regularly with staff through meetings. Create a respectful, team-oriented workplace. Partner with HR on hiring, development, coaching, and promotions. Ensure standards for employee coaching, discipline, and termination are met. Promote safety by ensuring training, enforcing rules, and investigating accidents. Maintain equipment through proper operation, troubleshooting, and repairs. Oversee facility maintenance and cleanliness. Administer company policies consistently and fairly. Build strong relationships with Store Owners and Managers. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience, Education, and Abilities High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience with MRP systems, work orders, or stockroom management systems. At least 5 years' experience in a distribution center environment. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to supervise 10+ employees. Ability to motivate and delegate tasks effectively. Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback in a fast-paced environment. Strong work ethic with a positive attitude. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Experience with material handling equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks. Computer skills: Outlook, Excel, and familiarity with DPC400 and RADS is a plus. Physical Demands and Work Environment Must communicate clearly and be able to see, hear, speak, and write effectively. Ability to walk and stand for long periods. Use hands for handling and feeling objects. Frequently lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.; occasionally up to 60 lbs. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl. Work may involve cold, hot, or humid conditions, and exposure to moving machinery. Work environment typically moderate noise level. Be aware of moving vehicles like forklifts and pallet jacks. We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000.00. Total compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
