Role: Reporting directly to the Hospital Chief Executive Officer, as Chief Clinical Officer, you will serve as part of the executive team and will lead our nationally recognized clinical services . The Chief Clinical Officer leads the organization's advancement in clinical excellence and champions adoption of new technologies and evidence based practices enhancing patient outcomes and patient care efficiencies. The Chief Clinical Officer partners with our renowned Columbia University physicians, executive leadership, and clinical staff to foster innovation and align patient care, education, and quality outcomes. The Chief Clinical Officer oversees and leads Quality Management, Performance Improvement, Patient Safety, and Clinical Outcomes with strong focus on patient volumes/census, goal achievement and deliverable objectives. The Chief Clinical Officer drives initiatives for sustained performance growth in the Hospital's patient census and overall Admissions department. The Chief Clinical Officer will also ensure hospital compliance with Department of Health, Joint Commission, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and any other regulatory agencies.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Ten years of experience as an administrator of a staff or support area in a program providing direct comprehensive services for patients in a rehabilitation or acute care hospital, of which three years must have been at a supervisory level.
Substitutions:

A qualifying college degree may substitute for the portion of the general experience as follows: associate's, two years; bachelor's, four years; and master's, five years. Qualifying degrees include: business administration, accounting, nursing, health care administration, business education, marketing, economics, banking and finance, industrial engineering, mathematics, computer networking, commerce, public administration, and industrial management.

Preferred Qualifications: Licensed clinician with a graduate degree in a clinical area, doctorate preferred. Board Certified in Healthcare Management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).12 years' of experience in healthcare services, and a proven record of accomplishment in health care environments, particularly in the areas of operational excellence and improving performance. Proven clinical operations leader with a track record of driving clinical excellence, program growth, and operational success. Experience with Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility operations. Skilled at delivering clinical excellence, program growth, quality improvements, and operational success.

The posted salary range includes a downstate adjustment of $4,150.
