Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Delegates tasks to support staff and oversees treatment provided by technicians or other service providers.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association, required upon hire.
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques effectively.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board Approved Program.
• Prior experience in IR/Special Procedures or a related specialty area.
• Demonstrated ability to function independently in an assigned specialty area following orientation.
