Preventative Maintenance Mechanic

Shifts available are: Sun-Wed (4/10hr shifts) 6am-4:30pm Wed-Sat (4/10hr shifts) 6am-4:30pm Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30PM ($3hr shift premium). Candidates should be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced shop environment and capable of performing a wide range of maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty equipment and transport units.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on diesel-powered equipmentPerform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled service workRepair and maintain hydraulic systems, steering components, suspension systems, and driveline assembliesTroubleshoot and repair air brake systems and lighting/electrical faultsComplete tire service and general mechanical repairsPerform welding and fabrication work as neededService HVAC and air conditioning systems on fleet equipmentMaintain accurate repair documentation and communicate equipment needs effectivelyRequirements:Minimum 2 years of experience in diesel, heavy equipment, trailer, or fleet maintenance requiredAbility to safely use diagnostic and repair equipmentClass A CDL is preferred but not requiredCandidates must provide their own standard hand tools; specialty and shop equipment are supplied by the companyWorking knowledge of: Hydraulics, Air brake systems, Electrical diagnostics, Diesel engines, Suspension and steering systems, Preventative maintenance procedures, Welding and fabrication
