Description

• Assess patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments and create tailored treatment plans
• Deliver physical therapy interventions targeted at mobility enhancements, strength development, balance restoration, and functional improvement
• Work hand in hand with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation experts to achieve the best outcomes
• Guide patients and their families through therapeutic goals, discharge strategies, and at-home exercise routines
• Thoroughly document evaluations, treatments, and progress as specified by facility and regulatory standards
• Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to promote comprehensive care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a related degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state
• CPR certification is preferred
• Additional certifications (e.g., in neurology or geriatrics) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

• Experience in a clinical setting is highly advantageous
• Ability to manage patients with complex medical needs and mobility challenges
• Exceptional communication and collaborative skills
