OVERVIEW
The Operations and Visual Manager is a member of the store leadership team who deals with ALO’s operational and visual strategy in the store. This individual is passionate about inventory management, labor planning and scheduling, and visual execution – all with a lens on driving an efficient and effective store operation. This role’s north star is to ensure that the store is customer‑ready at all times. Duties require constant movement in and around the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not actively assisting guests, this position takes initiative to perform other tasks, as needed, to keep the store clean, safe, inviting and operating efficiently.OPERATIONS & VISUAL LEADER
Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to address process or system gaps Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor by leveraging business performance data Support sell‑through management by ensuring accuracy of inventory counts and coordinating labor hours to efficiently receive product deliveries Maintain a safe work environment and efficient operationBUSINESS LEADER
Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls, in partnership with the General Manager Review, monitor and partner with the General Manager to manage the budget, reporting and other business data; including metrics such as Expenses, Sell‑Thru; and inform planning processes (e.g., quarterly business review and sales planning) Plan future workflow to protect optimal performancePEOPLE LEADER
Ensure that the Operations and Visual team conveys ALO's mission and guiding principles, effectively communicating to guests who we are and what we do Lead a team through accountability, continuous coaching, talent development, and KPI‑driven communication within the Operations and Visual team Establish internal and external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategy Write effective schedules that prioritize business strategy, in partnership with the General/Store ManagerFLOW EXPERIENCE LEADER
Oversee the execution of Flow experience deliverables while protecting operational efficiency Collaborate with and implement the General/Store Manager’s vision, working cross‑functionally with business partners to support organizational goals and achieve inventory and sales floor KPIs Navigate the organization with a balance of business need and brand cultureQUALIFICATIONS
3–5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Agile and able to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment Alignment with and embodiment of ALO’s Guiding Principles Independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability Ability to move constantly around all areas of the store Ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder Ability to stand and move for an entire shiftSCHEDULE
To build a balanced schedule that supports the needs of the business and our teams, all full‑time employees are expected to be available for opening, closing and weekend shifts. All employees, without exception, must be able to work during the company’s Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving (including Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend) through the end of the holiday season (the first week of January). The Company’s Assistant Store Manager base pay ranges from $60,000 to $76,000 per year. Assistant Store Managers are also eligible to participate in the Company’s monthly store incentive bonus program, which may increase total compensation beyond the base range. The pay range listed is one component of the Company’s total rewards package for retail employees.
