Staff Accountant Troy, MI | Fully On-Site | Contract-to-Hire | $32.00 - $36.00 per Hour LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client in Troy, Michigan that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Maintain fixed asset schedules and related accounting records Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as needed Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support business operations and financial reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close activities Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with ERP or accounting software systems Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or corporate accounting environment Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices Experience supporting audits and financial statement preparation Compensation & Benefits Contract-to-Hire opportunity Fully on-site position in Troy, MI Compensation: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour , based on experience Opportunity for long-term growth and advancement Comprehensive benefits available during the contract period and upon permanent hire If you are a motivated accounting professional looking to expand your experience and grow within a dynamic organization, we encourage you to apply today.
