Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.Job ResponsibilitiesEssential functions of the positions include:Analyzing customer demand material requirements and ordering material from suppliers and scheduling material to be built on the production floor.Working directly with suppliers and other Magna plants on material requirements.Reviewing materials planning for the product groups assigned, issuing purchase orders to suppliers, sending forecasts, and daily tracking of inbound material ensuring on time arrival.Establishing relationships with suppliers, holding supplier meetings, effective communication reviewing open purchase orders and delivery schedules.Being detail oriented and able to organize and prioritize conflicting tasks.Participating in daily production meetings to communicate current inventory levels, schedule compliance, and other operating parameters.Analyzing production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.Identifying and escalating production issues that may impact production output or quality.Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes and reduce costs.Preparing management summary reports and trend charts detailing department key efficiency operating indicators.Analyzing data to determine statistics, trends, measurable, etc. and act as required.Facilitating positive working relationships between all support staff garnering a team environment.Qualifications Necessary to Do the JobThree to five years planning and production scheduling and planning experience in a manufacturing environment.Highly proficient in Excel to include macros and reporting.Demonstrated organizational, communication, problem solving, and people skills.The ability to coordinate other shift activities in addition to functional responsibility for his/her own shift operations.Why work here?Health insurance (includes telemedicine, FSA, HSA, and other benefits)Dental insuranceVision insurance401(k) with matchEmployee profit sharing planEmployee assistance programAwareness, Unity, EmpowermentAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
