Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Talascend is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona . Overview The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for managing executive supplier relationships, driving cost savings, and leading strategic procurement initiatives within the organization. This role involves collaboration across multiple teams to optimize supplier performance and support business growth. Responsibilities Develop and maintain executive-level supplier relationships Drive direct material productivity through cost savings initiatives Manage working capital, including optimization of payment terms, pay cycle, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions Implement dual sourcing strategies to mitigate supply chain risk and improve supplier performance Drive High Growth Region (HGR) penetration by identifying and leveraging market opportunities Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned across organizations Foster collaboration with Gold Business Enterprise (GBE) Lead cross-functional Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to evaluate supplier performance Promote a continuous improvement culture with cost management and growth management principles Mentor and develop team members Manage team metrics and performance tracking Lead organizational improvement initiatives Qualifications 9+ years of experience in supply chain management or sourcing/procurement Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (preferred) Experience in a global organization influencing multiple levels (preferred) Experience leading program or project teams (preferred) Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills (preferred) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment (preferred) Shift This role follows a hybrid work schedule with at least three days per week in the office, based in Phoenix, Tempe, or Tucson, AZ, or other supportedlocations within the U.S. We thank all applicants for their interest.
