Occupational Therapist (OT) - Mobile Outpatient

Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist provides outpatient rehabilitation services primarily in patients' homes or independent living facilities, focusing on restoring and enhancing functional abilities. They evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to improve skills such as mobility, strength, coordination, and activities of daily living. The role involves supervising support staff, documenting care, collaborating with the rehabilitation team, and ensuring patient safety and high-quality service. Key Responsibilities Conduct patient evaluations, develop and modify treatment plans based on individual needs. Implement therapeutic techniques across areas like cognitive skills, mobility, sensory awareness, and fall risk management. Design and train patients in the use of adaptive devices and orthotics. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and make referrals as needed. Maintain documentation, ensure safety standards, and manage supplies and equipment. Perform reexaminations and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program. Initial registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Valid, unencumbered state-specific occupational therapy license.
