Purchasing Specialist Secaucus NJ – Hybrid 6+ months contract with possibility of extension Pay range: $38 - $39 /hr on W2 Our Fortune 500 client (One of the world's largest Semi-Conductor companies)in Secaucus NJ is looking for hardworking, motivated talent to join their innovative team. Job Duties Purchase small component parts, hard drives, and cables. Work with standard distribution suppliers and maintain familiarity with their products and services. Utilize MRP systems, with experience preferred. Use a purchase order (PO) system; no specific system experience is required. Place orders for products and services from approved sources in a timely manner. Process releases against existing blanket purchase orders. Monitor delivery schedules and provide follow-up on order status. Prepare, organize, and maintain purchasing reports and files. Assist Buyers and Section Managers with routine purchasing functions. Perform other assigned duties as needed. Experience and Education Minimum of 5–7 years of direct purchasing experience. Working knowledge of purchasing systems and procedures. Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications is highly desirable. Experience with electronic components is preferred.
