Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing a well-stocked and well-maintained department while providing superior customer service. You'll stock and properly rotate products on a daily basis, while maintaining all department and safety / sanitation standards.

Key responsibilities include stocking and rotating items as needed, assisting with inventory control, organizing merchandise, ensuring integrity of shelf tags and signage, maintaining standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation, checking shipments for out-of-date and damaged product, building, stocking, maintaining, and taking down store displays, and performing the duties of Customer Service Assistant as needed.

Customer service duties involve providing superior customer service, answering customer questions regarding products, assisting customers with selections, helping customers locate store merchandise, and using suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales.

Food safety and sanitation responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment, properly handling and maintaining the operation of all equipment, and complying with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures.

Additional department-specific responsibilities may include knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids, preparing tags and signs, organizing, cleaning, and preparing back area for the night crew and incoming trucks, passion for outdoors, completing Green Thumb training, knowledge in the audio / video field, and knowledge of specialty products, movies, music, electronics, and video games.

Qualifications include being 18 years or older, having a HS diploma or GED (or equivalent), strong customer service, communication, reading, writing, planning, and organizing skills, and the ability to lift and manage various weights depending on the department.
