Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports
Analyze financial data and investigate account variances
Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Support internal and external audits
Prepare sales tax filings and other required financial reports
Monitor fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditures
Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Assist with cash flow reporting and treasury functions
Recommend process improvements and strengthen internal controls
Mentor and support junior accounting staff
Assist with ERP implementations, upgrades, and system improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues
Maintain accounting policies and procedures documentation
Perform ad hoc financial projects and analyses

Qualifications Needed
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA or CPA Candidate preferred
Minimum 3-7+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong experience with general ledger accounting and financial reporting
Experience performing month-end and year-end close processes
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
Experience preparing account reconciliations and resolving variances
Experience supporting audits and compliance initiatives
Strong ERP system experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Proven ability to analyze financial data and improve accounting processes
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
