Occupational Therapist Contract Opportunity

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services within a supportive educational setting near Westland, MI. Two full-time occupational therapists are needed to serve students across two schools, with anticipated placements at the elementary and high school levels. Assignments include a 1.25 FTE position at the elementary school and a 1.0 FTE role at the high school, offering the chance to foster growth and independence in a diverse student population. Contracts begin August 24, 2026, and conclude June 4, 2027.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience with pediatric, school-based, or healthcare/OT home health settings is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Passion for supporting students' functional, academic, and social participation

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in IEPs, targeting a range of ages and functional needs
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions
• Document student progress and maintain required records
• Participate in student support teams, IEP meetings, and parent communication
• Adapt and modify activities to promote student independence and participation
• Support transitions between home, school, and community environments
