Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Augusta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio; 36-bed unit with average daily census of 30 patients

Highlights:

• Neuro/Stroke Progressive Care Unit with continuous telemetry monitoring
• Mixed patient population including cardiac, respiratory, and medical cases with cardiac drip titration
• Epic electronic medical record system with Pyxis medication management
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
• Maximum 7 days requested time off available (blackout dates: Spring Break April 4-12)

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of application
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; new travelers welcome
• Experience with cardiac drip titration, telemetry monitoring, and PCU-level patient care
• Proficiency in managing BiPAP/CPAP, central lines, chest tubes, high-flow nasal cannula, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Annual flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability to perform vital signs and blood glucose checks independently
• Full compliance documentation required; must be completed by Tuesday prior to start date
