Full Charge Bookkeeper

Our client, a not-for-profit organization in Suffolk County, is hiring a full-charge bookkeeper on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for growth. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a not-for-profit and must be comfortable working in an office where there are dogs and cats. Responsibilities Processing Transactions Accounts Payable/Receivable Reconcile payments Processing and recording donations from sources like Facebook, PayPal, and Venmo accounts Posting payroll entries, not processing payroll Setting up vendor accounts Tracking/recording/processing payments to trainers, handlers, contractors Reconciling at month and quarter end Front-to-back experience with QuickBooks Benefits We offer eligible employees competitive pay and access to a range of benefits and support programs, including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, short-term disability, 401(k), employee assistance, childcare assistance, discounts, paid holidays, and longevity bonuses.
