Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Range: $20.35 - $21.35 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to enforce visitor, vehicle, and/or after-hours entry procedures while reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
