Assistant Director of Safety & Security

Assists the Director of Safety & Security in the administration of the security ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church and its entities (“PBC”).Responsibilities:Cultivate an atmosphere of PBC safety and security to be everyone’s responsibilityStrive to protect the reputation and perception of PBCBuild positive relationships with staff, members, visitors, and/or students while maintaining a visible, reassuring presenceAssist with training on safety and security processes, procedures, and policiesAssist with compliance of local, state, and federal laws and regulationsAssist in recruiting, training, and overseeing contract security officers, staff, and safety and security volunteersAssist with the scheduling of PBC security needsAssist with daily security operations, including access control, visitor management, and campus patrolsProvide physical protection for church staff, others, and PBC physical assetsConduct safety assessments and recommend improvementsAssist in the development, implementation, and review of the Emergency Operations PlanAssist in leading drills (fire, lockdown, evacuation, severe weather)Maintaining relationships with local law enforcement agencies and school districtsReport incidents, accidents, and safety issues in accordance with approved methods and the appropriate standard of confidentialityAssist in overseeing security systems and surveillance camera systemsAssist as assigned with PBC entities’ safety and securityOther duties as assignedRequirements:Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBCBachelor’s degree or relative experience in a field related to this positionPrior law enforcement experience at the local, state or federal level preferredStrong familiarity with Texas Education Agency’s standard security protocols and security best practicesStrong firearms proficiencyPrior active shooter and standard response protocols trainingFamiliarity with camera and intrusion alarm systems preferredOSHA knowledge and risk management experience helpfulAbility to maintain an attitude of gratitude and encouragementHave an openness to share the GospelAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, both written and oralAbility to assess risks, respond quickly, and make sound decisions under pressureIntermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office programsAbility to work varying schedules including evenings and weekends as assignedAbility to regularly walk significant distances and use body parts for sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, hearing, reaching, seeing, while in and outdoors and lifting up to 50 lbs. without assistance #J-18808-Ljbffr Prestonwood Baptist Church
