Staff Accountant - Payroll & BillingSan Antonio, Texas Full-TimeSan Antonio TX company is seeking a Staff Accountant - Payroll & Billing to join the team. The position is a hybrid position (on-site attendance Tuesday -Thursday with an option to work remotely Monday/Friday) with no supervisory responsibilities. The successful Payroll & Billing Accountant will be responsible for processing payroll and billing the Federal Government for related staffing services, then recording related entries to the general ledger and performing other accounting and reporting duties as assigned.Essentials Functions:PayrollAbility to process payroll at a high volume with accuracy and attention to detailMaintain employee payroll profile to include demographics, rates, benefit designations and deductionsCoordinate with supervisors for timecard approvalResolve employee paycheck concernsAccounts Receivable (A/R)Generate and process invoices in the Government billing system (WAWF)Download payroll data into excel templates then upload them into QuickBooksResolve billing rejections, discrepancies or requests for additional informationReview and record subcontractor invoicesUnderstanding specific requirements of assigned government contracts and ensure they are billed and recorded properlyGeneral Accounting and ReportingPost journal entriesMaintain Reconciliations of Balance Sheet Accounts to include bank and vendor account reconciliationsPrepare and monitor reports designed to track assigned contractsPrepare documentation for external auditorsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.2+ years experience performing similar accounting duties, preferably with a staffing company or government contractor.Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, O365 and payroll processing software, preferably UKGWillingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Job Type: Full-time Benefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceAbility to Commute:San Antonio, TX 78233 (Required)Ability to Relocate:San Antonio, TX 78233: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: Hybrid remote in San Antonio, TX 78233Equal Employment Opportunity Statement: Donald L.
