Production Manager / Producer — Liz Portee State Farm | West Columbia, SC

Liz Portee State Farm is seeking an  experienced Production Manager (Agency Leader + Producer)to run our office day-to-day,  manage the team , and  actively produce insurance business .

This role is a true leadership position— you lead, you coach, and you help drive sales. You’ll be the go-to person for the team: the one they report to, bring questions and problems to, and are held accountable by. You’ll work closely with the agency owner on goals and direction while also being a visible, active producer in the market.

• Want to  lead the office with day-to-day ownership, not just manage from afar

What You’ll Do:

Leadership + Office Management

• Manage and supervise agency staff (coaching, performance, scheduling, and day-to-day accountability)
• Lead daily operations to ensure the office runs smoothly and consistently
• Handle  day-to-day escalations , resolve issues, and remove obstacles for the team
• Track team performance metrics and  flag opportunities/risks to the agency owner
• Ensure the team follows  agency processes, policies, and compliance standards
• Build a positive, high-performing culture that improves retention and morale

Producer Responsibilities (Sales + Client Service)

• Actively sell insurance as a producer—new business, renewals, and retention support
• Work with the team to improve quoting, appointment setting, conversion, and follow-up
• Maintain a strong client experience through responsive communication and proper policy servicing
• Support the agency’s sales strategy by driving results in your own book of business while coaching others to perform

Team Coaching + Performance

• Coach the team to improve  sales, service execution, and professionalism
• Identify training opportunities and help develop producers and support staff
• Set clear expectations and support the team in meeting measurable goals

What You’ll Need:

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience ( managing people , not just producing)
• Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Insurance or client-facing experience preferred
• Property & Casualty and Life & Health Producer licenses (must have or be willing to obtain immediately)
