This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business.Job PurposeResponsible for the engineering, design and technical oversight during construction of projects for the gas distribution network.Key AccountabilitiesDesign of gas main replacement projects for the distribution networkPrioritize work and manage multiple projects on time and within budgetEffectively communicate project information with internal and external stakeholdersPerform all aspects of role function in line with corporate process safety proceduresIdentify and specify materials to be used in association with gas construction projectsIdentify and acquire the necessary permits, licenses, and land rights associated with assigned projectsNegotiate and manage commercial contracts with third parties and suppliersQualificationsBachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited college or university requiredSuccessful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam with Engineer in Training (EIT)certification preferred2+ years of engineering or project management experience requiredValid driver's license requiredMore Information#LI-Hybrid#LI-STR1Downstate NY Salary $115,000 - $135,000 a yearNational Grid will not be providing visa sponsorship for this position now or in the future.
