DSH-Metropolitan, Central Nursing Services, is accepting applications for Health Services Specialist (Safety), Permanent/Fulltime. Working Title: Health Services Specialist (Safety) – Central Nursing Services. Under the direction of the Nurse Administrator (NA)/Assistant Coordinator of Nursing Services (ACNS) in a state hospital, the Health Services Specialist (HSS) is responsible for the ongoing monitoring, assessing, and making recommendations for the maintenance of quality nursing services, with primary emphasis on the physical care needs of clients/patients in a program on an assigned shift; assures education and training in nursing care is provided to unit personnel; and performs other duties that may be assigned. Candidates must be willing to work in ANY unit/program and ANY shift to meet the needs of the facility. Training Expectations If selected it is mandatory that you attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) in its entirety. NEO can be scheduled up to 30 days for level of care staff (clinical).
