Back of House (BOH) Position at Beau Jo's Pizza

Hourly Non-Exempt Position

Position Title: Back of House (BOH)

Purpose: Prepare food accurately to order and dietary specifications and according to Beau Jo's standards, quality and speed levels. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.

Essential Duties:

• Prepare food items according to our standards of quality, recipe consistency, and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with all health code requirements and company standards.
• Maintain adequate stocking, cleanliness, and organization of work area throughout the day.
• Complete prep tasks as needed according to recipe, procedure, quality and speed standards.
• Operate equipment safely as determined by company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Contribute to a positive guest experience by ensuring that the food that leaves the kitchen exceeds expectations and is made accurately.

Other Duties:

• Respond to additional guest requests by preparing orders to their specifications.
• Maintain food storage, receiving, stocking & rotating per company and safety standards.
• Work closely and communicate with FOH staff in a high pace environment, while doing a variety of "time restraint" tasks.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• 100% Stand or walk.
• 75% Work at Approx. 36" table/stove and reach in approx. 36".
• 75% Perform duties at a continuous high pace, while maintaining quality and speed standards.
• 50% View and read orders from a printed ticket.
• 50% Lift and carry sacks, boxes, products up to 50 lbs. from floor to above waist level, approx. 20 feet and sometimes involving stairs.

Essential Training Requirements: Successful completion of hourly position validations, including reading training materials.

Qualifications:

• Beau Jo's will hire aged 16+ and will remain in compliance with Colorado Youth Law under the CO Youth Employment Opportunity Act (C.R.S. 8-12-101 et seq.)
• Previous line cook experience in pizzeria (Preferred) Training provided
• Ability to read and follow recipes and identify measurements

Compensation: The hourly rate for this role ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 depending on experience.
