Staff Accountant Job Description Position Overview: The Staff Accountant will be responsible forensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintainingcompliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial operations.Reporting to the Controller, this role plays a key part in the month-endclose process, financial analysis, and reconciliations while workingcross-functionally to support business objectives. Responsibilities: Assistin overseeing financial operations and ensuring timely and accuratefinancial reporting. Participatein the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparationof financial statements. Reconcilebank statements and web-based receivable accounts (e.g., Amazon, AmazonPay, PayPal). Managefixed assets, including maintaining schedules for GAAP and tax purposes,and recording depreciation/amortization entries. Prepareand enter journal entries, including accruals, to ensure the accuratepresentation of financial statements. Analyzeand reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts, researching discrepanciesas needed. Supportthe preparation of year-end consolidating entries and coordinate withexternal CPAs during audits or financial reviews. Workclosely with marketing to ensure accurate accounting of advertisingexpenses. Prepareand distribute weekly cash flow updates. Maintaindigital filing systems for accounting records and documentation. Assistwith special projects, financial analysis, and other assignments asdirected by the Controller. Collaboratewith other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and ensureadherence to company policies. Qualifications: Education& Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or arelated field; minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience inaccounting. TechnicalSkills : Advanced proficiency in Excel and other MicrosoftOffice applications. Attentionto Detail : Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy andorganization. Communication :Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Confidentiality& Integrity : Ability to handle sensitive financial informationwith discretion. Multitasking& Problem-Solving : Ability to manage multiple priorities, meetdeadlines, and work cross-functionally.
