Our laboratories operate in a high-performance, quality-driven environment, producing precise, reliable results aligned with industry standards.We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support high-volume invoice processing and vendor management activities in Broussard, LA.In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly by managing high-volume invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations. From performing three-way match validation to resolving discrepancies and supporting month-end close, your work directly impacts accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the organization.What You'll DoProcess and review high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail across multiple business units and locationsPerform three-way matching (PO, receipt, invoice) and validate supporting documentation in accordance with established controls and approval workflowsProcess invoices, payment requests, and vendor transactions within NetSuite and Stampli in accordance with company proceduresInvestigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing variances, payment issues, and documentation exceptions through collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholdersMaintain accurate vendor records, including payment terms, tax documentation, banking information, and contact detailsPrepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, while ensuring compliance with internal controls and payment schedulesMonitor accounts payable aging and proactively resolve outstanding invoices, vendor inquiries, and payment exceptionsReconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve unmatched transactions in a timely mannerSupport month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, reporting, and audit requestsMaintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standardsPartner with vendors, operations, procurement, and finance teams to resolve accounts payable issues and improve transaction accuracyIdentify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and overall accounts payable performancePerform other duties as assignedRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred2+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience required, including invoice processing, three-way matching, vendor reconciliations, and payment processing, preferably in a high-volume, multi-entity environmentHands-on experience working with ERP or accounting systems required, including NetSuite and StampliStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel skills related to data analysis, reconciliations, and formulasWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly payMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchEmployer-paid life, AD&D, and disability insuranceGenerous paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidaysPaid parental leaveEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Tuition reimbursement and professional development supportWork ScheduleFull-time, onsite positionMust have flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and/or overtime as needed based on operational needs and demandsOur Commitment to Diversity & InclusionAt SPL, we believe that a diverse team is a strong team.
