Base Pay $51,370.00 - $64,213.00 / Year Job Category Procurement Industry Manufacturing Relocation Expense Covered No Employee Type Full-Time Required Degree NONE Manage Others No Phone View phone number on click.appcast.io Email View email address on click.appcast.io Summary of Position The MRO B uyer is responsible for procuring all maintenance supplies, machinery parts , fabrication supplies, and tools necessary for the maintenance/engineering department. Functions of the Position Purchases parts/supplies from the most appropriate and cost-effective vendor. Follows purchasing requests through to completion. Obtains multiple quotes for non-standard equipment. Sources the components needed to allow for timely delivery. Follows all purchasing and paperwork requirements. Keeps all necessary supplies stocked to acceptable levels. This includes adding parts into system and onto unit BOMs. Generates and issues work orders for PMs. Integrate parts inventory with Computer Management Maintenance System (CMMS). Follows all purchasing and paperwork requirements. Performs other duties as necessary. Qualifications Education, Experience, and Knowledge Three plus years of maintenance and purchasing experience. Food industry experience with processing and packaging equipment preferred High school graduate or equivalent. Skills and Competencies Ability to speak, read and write English. Good communication skills and the ability to maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and vendors is necessary. Detailed oriented with good math skills.
