Staff Accountant

Our client, a well-established and growing organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, maintain general ledger accounts, and perform account reconciliations
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for internal stakeholders
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP)
• Support audit processes and provide required documentation
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-3+ years of accounting experience (public or industry)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
