Position Overview:\n

We are currently seeking a determined Alarm Service Technician II who embodies our core values: Service, Accountability, Customer Focus, Growth, and Integrity. \n

The Alarm Service Technician is a hands-on role. You will play an integral role in building and maintaining customer relationships. This role entails visiting customer sites throughout the workday installing, servicing, and inspecting low-voltage electronic security equipment.  \n

\n

\n

\n

\n

\n

\n

\n
• Base Pay Range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (or salary equivalent)
\n
• Commission/Bonus: Eligible for additional earnings based on sales performance and upsell activity
\n

\n

Actual compensation will vary based on experience, geographic location, and performance. This role is classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay where applicable

Key Responsibilities:\n

\n \n

\n

\n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Experience with Alarm panels such as: 2GIG, Qolsys, Ademco, GE, DSC, DMP, and others.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Replace system components as assigned; panels, peripheral devices, audible/visual alarms, etc.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Driving to customer homes to perform service. Occasional lifting, carrying
  \n
  (up to 30 pounds), pushing and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stops, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling.\n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Customer education and training including a system demonstration.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Conduct a thorough walkthrough / site evaluation with the customer to review work order to make sure the system meets their needs and expectations.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Install and test the operations of all equipment to ensure proper functionality and signal verification required to establish service.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n \n

\n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Identify opportunities to improve the use and functionality of the customers system and provide those recommendations.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Maintain safety practices to prevent against injury and damage to property.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace / job site, ensuring customers satisfaction after the interaction.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n

\n \n

\n

Requirements:\n

\n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Good driving record and Valid driver’s license.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Working knowledge of how an alarm system operates. 
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Must be ok with climbing ladders and working at heights.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Must be ok working in tight spaces such as crawlspaces, attics and basements.
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • Low-voltage license or alarm installation certification
  \n
  \n
\n

\n \n

\n

\n
• \n

  \n

  \n
  • NICET I
  \n
  \n
\n
