About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Lending Officer (CLO) to join their team. The CLO will be responsible for the strategic direction, profitability, quality, and growth of the lending functions, including commercial, commercial real estate, consumer, residential mortgage, and SBA loans. This executive role involves overseeing all lending activities, ensuring sound credit administration, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will also be tasked with developing and executing the lending strategy, setting production goals, and monitoring portfolio performance. Additionally, the CLO will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, participating in strategic planning, and representing the bank in various organizations. Candidates for the CLO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with an MBA or Graduate School of Banking preferred. A minimum of 12-15 years' progressive bank lending experience, including 7-10 years in an executive or senior lending management role, is required. The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial credit experience and a background in managing multiple lending disciplines, with a preference for those who have worked in community or regional banks. The role demands a leader who can influence their own development, is passionate about their work, and is committed to fostering a strong sales and credit culture. Responsibilities also include managing and motivating lending staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and identifying new market opportunities.
