Position Highlights

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations employing both structured assessments and observational evaluations.
• Craft tailored treatment strategies that prioritize both immediate goals and sustained communication, cognitive, or swallowing improvement.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
• Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop seamless patterns of care.
• Provide insightful guidance and educational resources for patients and their families, ensuring continued progress after therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions, providing consistent care throughout patient journeys.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in alignment with health regulations and organizational protocols.
• Engage in continuous education and professional growth opportunities, keeping abreast with advancements in the speech-language pathology domain.

Educational Requirements

• Possession of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), particularly for those not yet certified by ASHA.

Licensing and Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
