Utility/ Ground Technician

Established in 1908, RGI is the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. We are seeking a Utility / Ground Technician for our Cross Plains Quarry in Cross Plains, TN. The successful candidate will perform a variety of labor and operation tasks in the quarry and crushing plant, including material handling, stockpiling, plant maintenance, and supporting production duties. A strong commitment to safety excellence is required. Job Details Full‑Time Day Shift Wages starting at $23.00/hr Responsibilities General plant/mine labor and clean‑up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assisting with plant clean‑up and operations. Perform plant maintenance work – cutting, welding, changing rollers & bearings, belt splicing. Operate various pieces of equipment as needed – bobcat, skid steer, haul truck, dozer, track hoe. Receive training in various production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, or increased production demand. Run water truck to control dust on roadways. Report equipment problems and identify them to management; help maintain quarry and equipment. Complete daily inspections and equipment pre‑shift reports – if applicable. Assist other workers as needed or directed. Other duties, assignments, and requirements as determined by management. Qualifications Uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Ability to perform a variety of duties, some of which may include plant clean‑up, production, maintenance, heavy equipment operation, and other duties as assigned. Previous experience welding and cutting preferred.Experience operating heavy equipment – bobcat, skid steer, haul truck. Self‑motivated; able to perform required duties without constant supervision. Quick learner. Understand basic safety and work instructions. Willing to work weekends and overtime as necessary.Must pass pre‑employment drug screen. Plant maintenance experience is a plus.
