Payroll Specialist

Fast growing Foodservice Equipment Parts Distributor in Vernon Hills is seeking a Payroll Specialist. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for all payroll functions ( ADP WFN required ) including time and attendance system, taxes, bonuses, deductions, reports and payroll checks. Will be the point of contact to ADP. Payroll data entry for all employees to include but not limited to the processing of new hires, department transfers, rate changes, address changes, direct deposit additions/changes, retroactive pay calculations, garnishments, and other misc. deductions. Payroll reporting including creation, maintenance and distribution. Maintain accurate personnel files, benefit files, and PTO accruals. Prepare files for audit reviews. Benefits administration to include processing benefit enrollments/terminations/and other life events, file maintenance, dependent verifications, new hire reporting. Auditing and maintaining correct eligibility for all healthcare plans. State jurisdictions, tax inquiry, modified business tax Third party sick pay Assist with company and 401K audits Management Reporting May screen resumes, conduct phone screens, set up interviews and complete background checks. Administer poster compliance requirements. Assist in special HR projects, as needed such as updating policies, communications and HR directories and general administrative/clerical services. Provides direct administrative support to the HR Director as needed. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. REQUIREMENTS Three years payroll administration experience using ADP’s online payroll system a must Two years general HR support experience Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products Knowledge of federal, state and local HR laws Ability to handle and maintain extremely confidential information Must be organized and pay close attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
