Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating shifts including weekdays and some weekends, rotating holidays. Will work rotating or straight nights. Call required. 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period. Patient ratio 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac patients with a wide variety of diagnoses including chronic ventilated patient management and post-lung transplant care
• Epic charting system with 36 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of PCU experience
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Opportunity to work with advanced care including BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, and cardiac drip titration
• Float required within the organization to support various units as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or step-down nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Graduation from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
