Sand & Gravel Plant/River MaintenanceCapital Sand - Wardsville - Wardsville, MOCapital Sand Company is looking to fill a grounds maintenance position that will include sand and gravel plant and river operations responsibilities located at our Wardsville, Missouri sand plant.**RESPONSIBILITIES*** Operate sand and gravel processing equipment.* Perform general maintenance on processing equipment, replacing bearings, replacing conveyor idlers, splicing conveyor belts, cutting, welding, fabrication, ect.* Safely operate front-end loader, excavator, haul truck, and water truck.* Perform general maintenance of heavy equipment; greasing, changing cutting edges, changing oil, maintaining maintenance logs, ect.* Perform pre-shift inspections of heavy equipment and processing equipment.* Participates in safety training, drills, and meetings to ensure overall equipment and crew safety.* Observe and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.* Suggest corrective action to improve plant and equipment performance and assist with implementation.* Work in a constate state of alertness and in a safe manner.* Frequent standing, walking, bending over, climbing, reaching overhead, kneeling, balancing, pushing, or pulling, talking/communication, repetitive use of legs, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying up to 75 lbs.* Performs other duties as directed.## Qualifications**REQUIREMENTS:*** Knowledge of the practices and techniques applied to the safe operation of heavy equipment, including record keeping of equipment.* Lift/Move up to 50 lbs.* Valid driver’s license (preferred)* Must have reliable transportation.* Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.* Must be willing to work overtime.* Ability to read and understand the English language.* Not afraid of working on/around water.* Training or working knowledge of MSHA is a plus.* Welding experience is a plus.* Mechanical experience is a plus.* Some travel is required.* Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.**This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.
