Patient Services Representative

Duration: 03 Months High possibility of extension

Location: Norfolk, VA 23507

Schedule Notes: Shift Hours: 8a-430p and every other weekend

Job Description:

Greeting families, updating all demographics, verifying insurance for eligibility and coverage, collecting co pays, obtaining consent (phone, in person, judge, etc..)
Scanning documents in medical records, supports all departments, accurate documentation, admissions to hospital and also children's pavilion and other duties as assigned.
Do they need to float to other locations: NO
Experience required to succeed in this role.
Customer service, dependability, adaptable to change, busy work environment, Insurance knowledge (a must), prior hospital registration is helpful but not required, being a team player in all situations with all types of people, able to handle situations that may not end nicely, able to work in multiple systems and more!
