The Restorative Aide coordinates, implements, and provides restorative nursing care for residents under the direction of the Nursing Department and in collaboration with Rehabilitation Services.As a Restorative Aide, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' daily lives by helping them maintain mobility, independence, and quality of life. Consistency, encouragement, patience, and hands-on engagement are essential to success in this role.What We OfferCompensation: $18 - $19.50 per hourBenefits:Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off (PTO)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Schedule and Employment TypeFull-Time Days (7AM - 3:30PM / 8AM - 4:30PM) | Monday–FridayKey ResponsibilitiesImplement and participate in restorative programs as a Restorative Aide for individual residentsAssist residents with exercises, mobility programs, range-of-motion activities, and positioning as orderedFacilitate the transition of residents from skilled rehabilitation services to restorative and preventative programsCommunicate regularly with the Director of Nursing, Rehabilitation Nurse, and interdisciplinary team regarding resident goals and progressAttend rehabilitation rounds and communicate restorative needs to appropriate staffMaintain accurate restorative nursing documentation and progress recordsVisit residents daily or as needed to ensure programs are appropriate and effectiveTrain and support primary caregivers in restorative techniques and proper care deliveryMonitor residents with range-of-motion and T&P orders to ensure complianceInstruct and assist staff with splints, braces, prosthetics, and self-help devicesIdentify restorative needs for new admissions and communicate findings to appropriate personnelCommunicate with families regarding resident progress during care conferences or as neededRemain proficient in the use of wheelchairs, walkers, canes, lifts, scales, and restorative equipmentPut resident care first and ensure the highest quality of serviceQualificationsCurrent state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) requiredRestorative Aide Certificate RequiredRestorative care experience preferredCMT certification is a plus and preferredAbility to motivate, encourage, and support residentsStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team membersPhysical RequirementsMust be able to move intermittently throughout the workdayMust be able to cope with the mental and emotional demands of the positionMust be able to function independently and demonstrate flexibility and personal integrityMust be able to work effectively with residents, families, and staffMust be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of at least 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feetMust be able to assist with the evacuation of residents during emergency situationsIf you are a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who enjoys helping residents maintain their independence and reach their functional goals, apply today to join the Parkview Healthcare team as a Restorative Aide!
