INTERMEDIATE PLATE PRINTER

This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Plate Printing Division , Washington, DC facility. As an Intermediate Plate Printer , you will perform work under the direction of a journeyperson Plate Printer to include work utilizing a variety of complex and high‑speed intaglio presses printing U.S. currency and other government securities from intaglio plates. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. You must meet the screen‑out element, Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision, normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions. To meet the screen‑out element, applicants must have: I am currently in a training program learning to operate a large format high‑speed, sheet fed and or web/sheet Offset Press with direct supervision. I perform recurring tasks that require me to make frequent changes to accommodate changing work requirements and priorities. I receive instruction from a lead press person. In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified.
