A leading local company is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented  Customer Service Representative with Accounts Payable (AP) experience for a  Direct Hire opportunity. In this dual-function role, the selected candidate will be the first point of contact for clients, resolving inquiries with empathy and professionalism while also providing crucial support to the finance department by processing vendor invoices and reconciling accounts. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and a foundational understanding of basic bookkeeping or accounting principles.

Hours: 1st shift hours.

Pay: $18/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Support: Respond to inbound client inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding orders, delivery statuses, and general account updates.
• Issue Resolution: Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement quick, satisfying solutions.
• AP Processing: Review, verify, and accurately enter vendor invoices into the accounting software.
• Account Reconciliation: Match purchase orders to invoices, research billing discrepancies, and assist with month-end closing tasks.
• Data Management: Maintain up-to-date and organized digital filing systems for both customer accounts and financial records.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and management to resolve pricing or inventory variances.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a dedicated customer service role, plus at least 6 months to 1 year of exposure to basic Accounts Payable or bookkeeping tasks.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with customer support software (CRM) and standard accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Sage). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is highly preferred.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of handling high-stress client situations gracefully.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and math, with a sharp eye for identifying financial discrepancies.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
