1st Shift Mechanical Assembler

$25-30/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble water filtration equipment, including sub-assemblies and complete units.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Measure, cut, deburr, and glue PVC pipe to specifications.
• Install pumps, piping, instruments, and mechanical components.
• Assemble and secure fasteners, bolts, and fittings according to specifications.
• Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate saws and material-cutting equipment.
• Verify dimensions using tape measures and other measuring devices.
• Conduct basic testing and troubleshooting of assembled equipment.
• Move materials and finished products throughout the work area.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly, manufacturing, construction, or related experience.
• At least 1 year of experience using hand tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience assembling mechanical components, pumps, and piping systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools.
• Basic troubleshooting and mechanical testing experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Ability to use hand and power tools for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.

Work Environment

• Clean, organized manufacturing facility.
• Safety-focused culture with established procedures and standards.
• Production floor environment utilizing mechanical equipment, hand tools, pneumatic tools, power tools, and cutting equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minnetonka, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
