Role Description The Independent Branch Owner is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Houston, TX, with a mix of in‑office and work‑from‑home flexibility. In this role, the Branch Owner oversees the day‑to‑day operations of their branch, including building and managing a client portfolio, developing new business, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and customers. Responsibilities include assessing client insurance needs, presenting coverage options, closing sales, and ensuring compliant documentation of policies and transactions. The Branch Owner will collaborate with City Centre Insurance’s central team to leverage marketing resources, training programs, and carrier relationships to drive branch growth. This role also involves setting branch sales goals, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing process improvements to ensure sustainable, profitable growth. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in insurance sales, account management, or agency operations, with a strong focus on client service and retention. Proficiency in business development activities, including prospecting, networking, and building long‑term relationships with individuals and businesses. Ability to manage branch operations, including planning, organizing workflows, and overseeing day‑to‑day administrative and compliance tasks. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to explain coverage options clearly and close deals ethically and effectively. Comfort using insurance management systems, CRM tools, and basic office software to track leads, policies, and performance metrics. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently, set priorities, and make informed decisions in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of property and casualty or other relevant lines of insurance; active insurance producer license in applicable states or ability to obtain one promptly. Previous experience as an independent agent, agency owner, or branch manager is highly beneficial.
