Accounting Controller

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Controller to oversee all financial operations for a growing homebuilding company based in North Carolina. This role will lead the accounting function, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision‑making across the business. Key Responsibilities Manage all day‑to‑day accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, job costing, and general ledger Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant state/federal regulations Implement and maintain effective internal controls Partner with construction, sales, and operations teams to track project performance and profitability Manage relationships with external auditors, lenders, and financial partners Lead and develop the accounting team Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in residential construction or real estate development Strong knowledge of homebuilding job‑cost accounting and reporting Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills What We Offer Competitive salary and performance‑based bonus Opportunity to influence financial strategy within a growing homebuilding organization #J-18808-Ljbffr Mackenzie Stuart
