Job Full Description Job Title Diesel Technician General Job Description Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm F/T benefits, continuing certification training, and tool program. - Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and related systems (e.g., transmissions, brakes, electrical).
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of services and repairs.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, operators, and supervisors about repair status.
- Keep tools and work areas clean and organized.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements.
- 4+ years experience required
- Must be able to over haul a diesel engine
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or ASE certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or similar role.
- Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and mechanical functions.
- Ability to use diagnostic software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy parts and tools.
- Shop or field-based work with exposure to noise, grease, and diesel fumes.
- May require working evenings, weekends, or being on-call depending on employer needs.
