Local Delivery Driver

The Local Delivery Driver for The Restaurant Store is responsible for handling the loading and delivery of orders for local customers. The Local Delivery Driver is expected to perpetuate high levels of customer service while navigating delivery routes and completing threshold-level delivery services. In the event of any downtime or lapse of orders, the Local Delivery Driver is expected to serve as an Operations Professional within the store itself, assisting with daily material handling responsibilities.

Physical demands include standing and/or walking up to and including 9 hours/day, effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing, regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations, and regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. The ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 50lbs is also required.

The work environment occasionally exposes employees to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.

Responsibilities include properly organizing and loading picked and prepared orders into the delivery van, completing morning and afternoon delivery routes, professionally and politely interacting with and delivering products to customer locations, effectively referring customers to a member of the Sales team to answer relevant questions, and maintaining general cleanliness of the delivery van.
