The Production Supervisor must perform a range of duties supporting managers and directing shift staff to ensure profitable business operations./ppResponsibilities:/pulliSupervises and coordinates a production shift/liliMonitors and responds to daily product and process concerns/liliAssists in the troubleshooting of technical problems/liliEnsures employees are trained and qualified prior to working on machinery and equipment/liliProvides leadership by instilling team goals and objectives while fostering positive staff relationships/liliCoordinates with operational departments to achieve company goals/liliCommunicates results and issues to shift staff/liliEnsures compliance with company policies and procedures/liliSets daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicates them to employees/liliSubmits reports on performance and progress/liliIdentifies issues in efficiency and suggests improvements/liliEnforces strict safety guidelines and company standards/liliSets goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with companys plans and vision and communicates them to subordinates/liliOrganizes workflow and ensures that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks/liliMonitors employee productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching/liliCompletes other duties and projects as assigned/li/ulpQualifications and Experience:/pulli3 - 5 years of progressive supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment/liliExperience with applications of Lean Manufacturing philosophies, TPM, or Six Sigma/liliEffective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization/liliAble to work on continental shift/liliAble to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, confidentially, diplomatically, and professionally always./liliExcellent time and project management skills/liliAttention to detail in all areas of work/liliStrong analytical skills/liliProven experience as supervisor or relevant role/liliAbility to learn a variety of job descriptions./liliExcellent communication and interpersonal skills/liliOutstanding organizational and leadership skills/liliGood knowledge of MS Office/liliSelf-motivated with a results-driven approach/liliProblem-solving skills/liliHigh School Diploma, Degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field will be an advantage./liliMandarin an asset./li/ulpHealth Safety:/pulliTo participate in the Companys Health Safety, Housekeeping and Environmental programs/liliEnsure all internal safety policies and legislation are followed as part of Due Diligence/liliMonitor any injuries, and complete paperwork as required./liliParticipate in workplace inspections on monthly basis as required./liliAttend all safety training as required./liliMust have working knowledge of all safety legislation and follow all health and safety policies./liliEnsure all employees follow companys health and safety policies and procedures and report all violations./li/ulpCompensation and Benefits:/ppCanadian Solar offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement.
