Manufacturing Engineer II – Dixon, IL Donaldson is a leader in filtration technology. The Manufacturing Engineer II position is located in Dixon, IL, and is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, product quality, output, and cost effectiveness. The engineer will apply lean tools and thinking to enhance value streams, conduct workflow analysis, and lead process improvement and change initiatives. Position Responsibilities Support the appraisal of new product ideas to determine their potential to address customer needs and achieve revenue growth and market share objectives. Design, analyze, test, and integrate components, evaluating overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Develop, execute, and evaluate fitness-for-use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans. Lead all phases of assigned standard engineering projects, ensuring successful completion within appropriate time and cost parameters. Prepare or secure and review cost estimates, complete required cost and equipment information, and write appropriation requests. Provide input on technical program objectives and product specifications to meet manufacturing needs. Stay informed of new or improved designs, methods, and techniques, materials, and advances in engineering technology. Offer technical support and collaboration to manufacturing, production, and clients through customer visits and consultations, ensuring product design meets manufacturing and procurement requirements. Participate in short‑range planning and technical forecasting. Prepare and present technical results and information in a clear and concise manner through drawings, specifications, reports, and oral presentations to meet company and customer needs. Ensure compliance with government and organization engineering standards. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. 3+ years of hands‑on experience in industrial manufacturing or engineering. Preferred Qualifications FAA Certification experience. Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems. Compensation and Benefits Annual Salary Range: $71,900 – $102,177. Actual salaries will vary based on experience, education, and performance.
