Assembly Operator I
Schedule: 1st Shift (7:00am – 3:30pm)
Location: Fairview, NC
Pay Rate: $17.61/hr
Type: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

• Assemble components following work instructions, using microscopes, small hand tools, and fixtures as needed
• Inspect your own work in accordance with quality standards
• Conduct pull tests and measure components using calipers or other gages
• Inspect products to specifications and complete all necessary operational paperwork to ensure traceability
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed
• Read and interpret drawings for assembly and inspection tasks
• Maintain general housekeeping and organization of the work area
• Adhere to company and departmental policies, guidelines, and safety procedures
• Perform all other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Good communication skills
• Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred
• Experience with measuring devices (calipers, gages, etc.) preferred
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to remain stationary 75% of the time and operate machinery
• Able to move between work zones as needed
• Proficient in reading and understanding written instructions in English
• Willingness to work overtime to support production goals
