Associate Attorney (Retail Trade & Environmental Practices)

About the firm A litigation boutique firm with a national reputation is looking for an Associate that specializes in Retail Trade & Environmental Practices. A California-based law firm is seeking an associate attorney with 2–6 years of relevant experience to join its San Francisco office. This role will support the firm’s Retail Trade and Environmental practices, with a strong emphasis on litigation and regulatory counseling. Job Details Salary: $175,000 - $220,000 per year. Hybrid work environment: 3 days in office, 2 days from home. Responsibilities Defend clients in Proposition 65 matters and related enforcement actions. Handle claims involving the California Legal Remedies Act, Unfair Competition, and False Advertising laws. Participate in litigation concerning property contamination and environmental compliance. Defend citizen suits under the federal Clean Water Act. Research and advise clients on environmental regulations and consumer product compliance requirements. Work directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys across practice groups. Qualifications 2–6 years of experience in environmental, consumer protection, or complex commercial litigation. Admission to the California Bar (required). Experience with Proposition 65 litigation strongly preferred. Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters efficiently. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Benefits Competitive base salary.
