Senior Staff Software Engineer

Salary: $171,900 - 300,800 per year Requirements:

• We look for 12+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language, including at least 5+ years focused on compiler, runtime, JIT/AOT systems, or language execution engines
• We value experience integrating AI into software development, workflows, decision-making, or automation using AI-powered tools and technologies
• We need strong expertise in compiler and runtime systems, including execution engines, memory management, concurrency, JIT/AOT compilation, performance tuning, profiling, and debugging
• We expect advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and system-level performance and scaling considerations
• We want a passion for JavaScript and the web as a platform, plus experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
• We require experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing relational databases
• Experience with LLVM, language runtime development, or low-level systems engineering is a strong advantage
• We look for a track record of working across multiple technology stacks, including cloud development, platforms, web development, frameworks, and service-oriented architecture
• We need the ability to manage multiple projects with significant technical risk across teams and processes, and to serve as a functional lead or technical owner when needed

• We design and optimize execution engines, JIT/AOT compilation pipelines, and memory management systems so customer applications run at scale
• We build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code while following strong engineering practices such as code reviews and unit testing
• We partner with product owners to clarify detailed requirements and take ownership of our code from design through implementation, test automation, and delivery
• We create software that is simple to use and helps customers extend and customize functionality for their needs
• We mentor colleagues and share knowledge across teams on low-level systems engineering, performance profiling, and optimization techniques
