Location: Hybrid Full Relocation Expenses Covered for Qualified Candidates What You'll Do Lead the end-to-end development of embedded software and firmware for a complex medical device platform. Drive software architecture, system design, and technical strategy across product development initiatives. Remain hands‑on with coding, code reviews, debugging, and technical problem‑solving (approximately 30–50% hands‑on). Guide both new product development and sustaining engineering activities. Establish and improve engineering processes, documentation, traceability, and development best practices. Partner closely with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Hardware, and Clinical teams to ensure compliant product delivery. Lead root cause investigations, CAPAs, risk assessments, and product reliability improvements. Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing engineering team focused on quality and innovation. What We're Looking For 8+ years of experience in embedded software or firmware development 3+ years of engineering leadership experience managing teams or major technical programs Strong software development experience with C++, embedded systems, and Linux‑based environments Experience developing products within medical devices, aerospace, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries Deep understanding of FDA design controls, software lifecycle processes, risk management, verification, validation, and traceability Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams while remaining technically engaged Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills Why Consider This Opportunity?
