In this role, you'll combine technical project leadership with people leadership—guiding engineering teams, supporting project delivery, and helping develop the next generation of engineers.Previous aviation experience is preferred but not required. We welcome civil engineers with backgrounds in site development, land development, transportation, municipal infrastructure, water resources, or other civil infrastructure disciplines who are interested in applying their expertise to aviation projects.This opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineer who is ready to step into their first formal management role or for an emerging engineering leader looking to expand their leadership responsibilities.What You'll Do:Lead the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects supporting airports, including airfields, terminals, roadways, parking facilities, utilities, and site developmentCoordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budgetMentor, coach, and support the professional development of junior engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environmentAssist with assigning work, balancing team workloads, and supporting day-to-day project execution in partnership with senior leadershipManage project scope, schedules, budgets, and technical quality while ensuring successful project deliveryBuild strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teamsSupport business development by participating in proposals, client meetings, and project pursuitsPerform periodic field observations during construction, participate in progress meetings, and support construction administration activities as neededWhat You Bring:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering requiredMinimum of 4 years of progressive civil engineering experience in civil site design, land development, municipal infrastructure, transportation, aviation, or other horizontal infrastructure projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredDemonstrated experience leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, or coordinating technical teamsPrevious formal management experience is preferred but not requiredExperience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationshipsStrong experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or comparable civil engineering softwareWorking knowledge of QA/QC processes, engineering standards, and project deliveryExcellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skillsInterest in growing into a larger leadership role while continuing to contribute technicallyParticipation in professional engineering organizations is a plusWhy You'll Love It Here:Lead challenging infrastructure projects that support airport safety, sustainability, and operational excellenceMentor and inspire junior engineers dedicated to delivering sustainable solutionsCollaborate with talented professionals across disciplines in a flexible work environmentCurious about the impactful work our Aviation team is doing?
